λ: 밀폐공기(0.026 W/mK),밀도,독립기포 비율,요소에 영향 받고,수증기확산에 따라 현저히 증가한다

투습계수 (μ) : μ 값이 더 높으면 습기 확산이 더 적고 긴 수명을 가지고, 사용 시 λ값 상승을 지연시킨다.

Fibre glass는 개방형 구조로, 취약하며 높은 λ 값을 가지기 위해 수증기 차단에 취약하다

고무발포 보온 단열재의 법적 취급 규정

환경부

합성고무 제조업의 제조 공정에서 발생된 폐 합성고무외의 폐 합성고무는 사업장 일반 폐기물로 분류되므로 합성고무를 발포시킨 보온재는 사업장일반 폐기물에 해당한다

자치단체 및 소방기관

고무발포 보온재가 파이프 및 닥트의 보온재로 사용되는 것은 소방기술기준에 관한 규칙 제7조 제8항 및 제 27의 5항에서 소방밥상으로는 보온조치를 하여야 한다는 규정은 있으나, 보온재의 종류 및 재질에 관한 규정은 없다.

그러나 화재 발생 시 연소 확대 및 유독가스 발생으로인한 인명피해 발생이 우려됨에 따라 불연 및 난연 재료의 성능을 가진 보온자재를 사용하도록 지도 권장한다
